The goal of residential treatment is stabilization and preparation for a less intensive level of ongoing care. Residential care allows clients to experience a full separation from environments, triggers and substances. With fewer distractions and daily responsibilities, clients may focus on learning about addiction. Most importantly, clients are afforded the opportunity to gain clarity and perspective about the role of substance use in their life.
